1986 നവംബർ 15 ന് മുംബൈയിൽ നിർമ്മാതാവായ ഇമ്രാൻ മിർസയുടെയും പ്രിൻ്റിംഗ് ബിസിനസ്സിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഭാര്യ നസീമയുടെയും മകളായാണ് സാനിയ മിർസ ജനിച്ചത്.ജനിച്ചയുടൻ കുടുംബം ഹൈദരാബാദിലേക്ക് താമസം മാറ്റി. സാനിയയും അനുജത്തി അനമും ഹൈദരാബാദിലാണ് വളർന്നത്.സാനിയയ്ക്ക് വെറും 6 വയസ്സുള്ളപ്പോൾ, അവൾ ടെന്നീസ് ഏറ്റെടുത്തു, അവളുടെ പിതാവും റോജർ ആൻഡേഴ്സണും പരിശീലിപ്പിച്ചു.

Sania Mirza was born on November 15, 1986 in Mumbai to producer Imran Mirza and his wife Naseema, who was in the printing business. Soon after her birth, the family moved to Hyderabad. Sania and younger sister Anam grew up in Hyderabad. When Sania was just 6 years old, she took up tennis and was coached by her father, Roger Anderson.
