ധീരുഭായ് അംബാനിയുടെ ജീവചരിത്രം.
1950-1960 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ മുബൈയിലെ ഒരു സാധാരണ 2 മുറി വീട്ടിൽ ഭാര്യയെയും മകനെയും ആക്കി കൊണ്ട് മുബൈയിൽ തന്നെയുള്ള ഒരു കട വാടകയ്ക്ക് എടുത്തു കൊണ്ട് റിലയൻസ് കമേർഷ്യൻ കോർപറേഷൻ എന്നൊരു ഓഫീസ് തുടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ ധീരജ് ലാൽ ഹിരാചന്ദ് അംബാനിയുടെ ആ ഒരു ഓഫീസിൽ ആകെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നത് 1 മേശ, 2 കസേര എഴുത്താൻ വേണ്ടി ഒരു റൈറ്റിങ്ങ് പേഡ്, ഒരു പേന അതുപോലെ ആ പേനയിൽ മഷി നിറക്കുവന്നായി ഒരു മഷിക്കുപ്പി, ഇടയ്ക്ക് വെള്ളം കുടിക്കുവാൻ ആയിട്ട് ഒരു കുടം വെള്ളം. ഇതു മാത്രമായിരുന്നു ആ ചെറിയൊരു ഓഫീസിൽ നിന്നാണ് ലോകത്തെയും ഇന്ത്യയെയും അത്ഭുതപ്പെടുത്തി ലോകത്തിലെയും ഇന്ത്യയിലെയും എണ്ണം പറഞ്ഞ് കോടീശ്വരന്മാരുടെ നിലയിലേക്ക് ധീരജ് ലാൽ ഹിരാചന്ദ് അംബാനി ഉയർന്ന് വന്നത്.
എങ്ങനെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അത് സാധിച്ചത്. ഒരു സാധാരണ ഗുജറാത്തി അധ്യാപകൻ്റെ മകനായി ജനിച്ച് ദാരിദ്ര്യത്തിൽ കൂടി വളർന്ന് യമനിൽ പോയി സാധാരണ ഒരു തൊഴിലാളിയായി ജോലിചെയ്തു. ഒടുവിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഇത്രയും വലിയ കോടീശ്വരൻ ആയി തീർന്നത്. എന്നാലും ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കണമെങ്കിൽ അദ്ദേഹം എന്തെങ്കിലും ഒരു കാര്യം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടാകില്ലേ. നമുക്ക് പഠിക്കാനും ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുവാനും അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് എന്തെങ്കിലും ഒക്കെ പാഠങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകില്ലേ. ഇന്ന് പറയാൻ പോകുന്നത് ധീരുഭായി അംബാനി എന്ന ധീരജ് ലാൽ ഹിരാചന്ദ് അംബാനിയുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ ജീവിത കഥയാണ്. നമുക്ക് എന്തായാലും ഓരോ മനുഷ്യനും കേട്ടിരിക്കേണ്ടതും അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കേണ്ടതും കൂട്ടുകാർക്കും ബന്ധുക്കൾക്കും എല്ലാം ഷെയർ ചെയ്തു കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതുമായ ധീരുഭായി അംബാനിയുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ കഥയിലേക്ക് പോകാം.
1932 ഡിസംബർ മാസം 28 ആം തീയതി ഗുജറാത്തിലെ ജുനഗർ ജില്ലയിലെ ജോർവാദിൽ സ്കൂൾഅധ്യാപകനായിരുന്ന ഹിരാചന്ദ് ഗോവർഗദാസ് അംബാനിയുടെയും വീട്ടുകാര്യങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം നോക്കിയിരുന്ന ജമനാഭനിൻ്റെയും മകനായിട്ടാണ് ധീരുഭായി അംബാനി ജനിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ പേര് പറയുന്ന സമയത്ത് എല്ലാം ഭായി, ബെൻ എന്നെല്ലാം പല ഗുജറാത്തി പേരുകളിൽ കേൾക്കാറുണ്ട്. അതിൻ്റെ കാരണം എന്നു പറയുന്നത് ഭായി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ സഹോദരൻ. സാധാരണ ഗുജറാത്തി ആൺകുട്ടികളുടെ പേരിൽ എല്ലാം ചേർക്കുന്നതാണ്. അതുപോലെ ബെൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ ബഹൻ ലോഭിച്ച് ഉണ്ടായതാണ് സഹോദരി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് പല ആളുകളും ഉപയോഗിക്കാറുണ്ട്. ഇതു പറഞ്ഞു മനസ്സിലാക്കി എന്നേയുള്ളൂ. ധീരുഭായി അംബാനി ആ കുടുംബത്തിൽ വളർന്നു വരുകയാണ്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത് രണ്ട് സഹോദരിമാരും, രണ്ട് സഹോദരന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു. അഞ്ച് കുട്ടികളുള്ള ഒരു കുടുംബമായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ. എന്നാൽ വലിയ രീതിയിലുള്ള വരുമാനം ഒന്നും ഈ അഛന് നേടാനാക്കുന്നില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ദാരിദ്ര്യത്തിലായിരുന്നു ആ കുടുംബം വളർന്നിരുന്നത്.
ഈ അമ്മയ്ക്ക് പക്ഷെ ഒരു പ്രത്യേകത ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അഛൻ്റെ വരുമാനം വളരെ കുറവാണെങ്കിലും നോക്കിയും കണ്ടും ചിലവഴിക്കാൻ നല്ല കഴിവുള്ള ഒരു സ്ത്രീയായിരുന്നു ഈ ജമനാ ബെൻ. അതുകണ്ട് ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾ കണ്ട് കുട്ടികളും പഠിക്കാണ്. കൂടാതെ അടുത്ത വീട്ടുകളിൽ നിന്നെല്ലാം പലപ്പോഴും കടം വാങ്ങാറുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ആ കടമെല്ലാം കൃത്യസമയത്ത് വീട്ടാനും ഇവര് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്താണെങ്കിലും ഇവരുടെ ദാരിദ്ര്യപൂർണമായ അവസ്ഥ കുട്ടികളിൽ നിന്നും മറച്ചുവെക്കാൻ ഈ അമ്മ തയ്യാറാകുന്നില്ല. പല കുടുംബത്തിലും നോക്കിയാൽ അറിയാം. ദാരിദ്രമൊന്നും കുട്ടികളെ അറിയിക്കാതെയാണ് അവരെ വളർത്തിയെന്ന് പറയാറുണ്ട്.
പക്ഷേ കുട്ടികൾ വീടിൻറെ അവസ്ഥ അറിഞ്ഞ് വളരാനുള്ളത് ഒരു നല്ല കാര്യം തന്നെയാണ്. ഈ അമ്മ എന്തായാലും അതിന് തയ്യാറാകുന്നു. അതും കൂടാതെ കുറഞ്ഞ വരുമാനം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന കുടുംബത്തിൻറെ സാമ്പത്തിക കാര്യങ്ങൾ കൃത്യമായി കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യാൻ പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് മണി മാനേജ്മെൻ്റ് കോഴ്സിനോ, ഫിനാൻഷ്യൽ കോഴ്സിനോ ഈ അമ്മയ്ക്ക് പോകണ്ടി വന്നിട്ടില്ല. നമ്മുക്ക് പലപ്പോഴും ഈ വരുമാനം കുറഞ്ഞ കുടുംബത്തിൽ എങ്ങനെയാണ് കൃത്യമായി ഈ മണി മാനേജ്മെൻ്റ് നടത്തുന്നതെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കി കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ മതി നല്ലൊരു ഡിഗ്രി എടുതത്തിൻ്റെ ഫലം ചെയ്യും. നല്ല രീതിയിൽ ഈ കുട്ടി വളർന്നു വരുകയാണ്. നല്ല ബുദ്ധിമാനായ ഒരു കുട്ടിയാണ് എന്ന് പറയുമ്പോൾ നമുക്ക് തോന്നുക നല്ല മാർക്ക് വാങ്ങുന്ന കുട്ടി എന്നാണ് അങ്ങനെയല്ല. കാര്യങ്ങൾ കൃത്യമായി മനസ്സിലാക്കുവാനും കിട്ടുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം വായിക്കാനും മനസ്സിലാക്കാനും ഈ കുട്ടി ശ്രമിച്ചിരുന്നു.
ധീരുഭായി അംബാനിയുടെ കുട്ടിക്കാലം വളരെ രസകരമായിരുന്നു. ഈ കുട്ടി പലകാര്യങ്ങളോടും പടവെട്ടിയാണ് വളർന്നു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. നല്ല കാര്യങ്ങൾ പഠിക്കാനും അതുപോലെ മോശപ്പെട്ട കാര്യങ്ങളെ എതിർക്കാനും താൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളെ ഏതുവിധേനയും മോശമായ വഴികളിലൂടെ അല്ല നല്ല വഴികളിലൂടെ നേടിയെടുക്കാനുള്ള കഠിനപ്രയത നവും ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ മനസ്സിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സ്കൂളിൽ നിലനിന്നിരുന്ന സാമ്പ്രദായിക രീതിയോട് ഈ കുട്ടിക്ക് വലിയ തൽപര്യം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പോഴും നമ്മൾ നോക്കിയാൽ അറിയാം. രാജാക്കൻമാരെ പോലെ അധ്യാപകർ വരുന്നു. കുട്ടികളെല്ലാം അടിമകളെ പോലെ നിൽക്കുന്നു. ധാരാളം ഹോം വർക്ക് കൊടുക്കുന്നു. അധ്യപകരുടെ ഭാഗത്ത് തെറ്റുണ്ടെങ്കിലും അത് പറയാൻ പാടില്ല. ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്ന വ്യവസ്ഥയോട് ഈ കുട്ടിക്ക് താൽപര്യം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.
പക്ഷേ അന്നത്തെ കാലത്ത് ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഇതിനെ എതിർത്തു കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ എന്താ സംഭവിക്കുക. ജനാധിപത്യ രാജ്യത്ത് വരെ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ സിസ്റ്റമാണ്. ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ എന്തായിരിക്കും അവസ്ഥ. ഈ കുട്ടി അത് എതിർക്കാൻ തയ്യാറാവുന്നില്ല. പക്ഷെ മനസ്സിൽ ഒരു എതിർപ്പ് ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും പഠിക്കണമല്ലോ. അതുകൊണ്ട് ഈ കുട്ടി നന്നായി ഇരുന്ന് പഠിക്കുകയാണ്. എന്താണെങ്കിലും കാലം കുറച്ചുകൂടെ മുന്നോട് പോവുകയാണ് ഈ കുട്ടിക്ക് കുറച്ച് വയസ്സ് കൂടുകയാണ്. സഹോദരൻമാർക്കും സഹോദരിമാർക്കും എല്ലാം പ്രായം കൂടിവരുകയാണ്. ഈ അഛന് ജോലി ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റില്ല എന്ന അവസ്ഥ വന്നു എന്ന് ഈ അമ്മയ്ക്ക് മനസ്സിലാവുകയാണ്. അതുകൊണ്ട് കുട്ടികളെ വിളിച്ചിരുത്തി അമ്മ പറയുകയാണ്. നിങ്ങൾ എന്തെങ്കിലും ഒക്കെ സമ്പാദിക്കണം. അഛന് ഇനി ജോലിയ്ക്ക് ഒന്നും പോകാൻ പറ്റില്ല. പഠിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കുട്ടികളാണ്. ഈ സമയത്ത് ധീരുഭായ് അംബാനിക്ക് ഇത് അത്ര ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നില്ല.
അംബാനി തിരിച്ചു പറയുന്നത് നിങ്ങളെ ഒരു ദിവസം ഞാൻ പണം കൊണ്ട് മൂടും എന്നായിരുന്നു. അമ്മ വലിയ കാര്യമായിട്ടൊന്നും എടുത്തില്ല. പക്ഷെ താൻ ഒരു കാര്യം പറഞ്ഞാൽ അത് നടപ്പിലാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല എങ്കിൽ ധീരുഭായ് അംബാനിക്ക് ഒരു സ്വസ്ഥതയും കിട്ടില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്തെങ്കിലും പാർട്ട് ടൈം ജോലി ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് തീരുമാനിക്കുകയാണ്. ആദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നത് വീട്ടിൻ്റെ അടുത്ത് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഒരു മൊത്തവ്യാപാരിയിൽ നിന്ന് നിലകടല എണ്ണ മേടിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇത് ഹോൾ സൈയിൽ ആയി വേടിക്കും എന്നിട്ട് ചെറിയ ചെറിയ ഡപ്പികളിൽ ആക്കുന്നു. എന്നിട്ട് റോഡിൻ്റെ സൈഡിൽ ഇരുന്നു കൊണ്ട് ഇത് വിൽപ്പന നടത്തുകയാണ്. റീടെയിൽ ആയി വിൽപ്പന നടത്തുകയാണ്. ആളുകളെല്ലാം ഇത് വേടിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇതിലൂടെ നല്ല ലാഭം കിട്ടുന്നു. ഈ ലാഭതുക അതുപോലെ അമ്മയെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കുകയാണ്. അമ്മയ്ക്ക് വളാര സന്തോഷമായി.
കാരണം കുടുംബത്തിൻ്റെ രണ്ടറ്റവും കൂട്ടിമുട്ടിക്കാൻ വല്ലാത്തെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുന്ന ഒരു സ്ത്രീയാണ്. കുട്ടികൾക്ക് പ്രായം കൂടുകയാണ്. അവർ കഴിക്കുന്ന ഭക്ഷണത്തിൻ്റെ അളവും കൂടുകയാണ്. അഛൻ്റെ പഴയ സാമ്പാദ്യം കൊണ്ട് ഒന്നും ആവാത്തെ നിൽക്കുന്ന ഒരു അവസ്ഥയാണ്. പണം സമ്പാദിച്ച സമയത്ത് ധീരുഭായ് അംബാനിക്ക് വലിയ സന്തോഷമാവുകയാണ്. ഇനിയും എന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യണം. കാരണം അഛനെയും അമ്മയെയും പണം കൊണ്ട് മൂടും എന്നാണ് പറഞ്ഞത്. എണ്ണ മാത്രം വിറ്റാൽ സാധിക്കുന്ന ഒരു കാര്യമല്ല. വേറെ എന്തെങ്കിലും ഒക്കെ വിൽക്കേണ്ടിവരും. എന്നാണെങ്കിലും ഇദ്ദേഹം വേറൊരു കാര്യം തീരുമാനിക്കുകയാണ്. സ്കൂൾ ഇല്ലാത്ത സമയങ്ങളിൽ എന്തെങ്കിലും പാർടൈമായി ജോലി ചെയ്യണം. ഈ ഇന്ത്യ എന്നു പറയുന്നത് ഉത്സവങ്ങളുടെ രാജ്യമാണ്. ഗുജറാത്ത് എന്നു പറയുമ്പോൾ ധാരാളം അമ്പലങ്ങളുള്ള സ്ഥലമാണ്. അങ്ങനെ സ്കൂൾ ഇല്ലാത്ത ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ഉത്സവ പറമ്പുകളിൽ കച്ചവടം നടത്താൻ തുടങ്ങുകയാണ്. ഒരു സ്റ്റാൾ ഇടുന്നു. ഉരുളകിഴങ്ങ് ഫ്രൈ ചെയ്ത് വിൽക്കുകയാണ്. അതിൽ നിന്ന് നല്ല ലാഭം ലഭിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
കാലം കുറച്ചുകൂടെ കടന്നുപോവുകയാണ്. ഈ കുട്ടി നന്നായി സമ്പാദിക്കുകയാണ്. ചെറുപ്പം മുതൽ ബിസിസ്സിൽ നല്ല താൽപര്യം കാണിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. മറ്റുള്ളവരെ പറ്റിക്കാത്തെ ബിസിനസ്സ് നടത്തി അദ്ദേഹം പണം ഉണ്ടാക്കി കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ധീരുഭായ് അംബാനിക്ക് എന്തായാലും ഒരു പതിനഞ്ച് വയസ്സാവുന്നു. 10-ാം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് 1947 ആയി ഇന്ത്യക്ക് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ലഭിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇദ്ദേഹം പഠിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത് ജുനഗഡിൽ ആണ്. ഇവിടെ ഒരു പ്രത്യേകത ഉണ്ട്. ഇത് ഒരു നാട്ടുരാജ്യമാണ്. ഒരു മുസ്ലിം നവാബ് ആണ് അവിടെ ഭരിച്ചുക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. എന്തായാലും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം കിട്ടിയ സമയത്ത് ഇന്ത്യൻ യൂണിയനിൽ ലയിക്കാൻ ഈ നവാബ് താൽപര്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ല. നവാബിൻ്റെ താൽപരും പാക്കിസ്ഥാൻ്റെ കൂടെ ലയിക്കാനായിരുന്നു. ആ സമയത്ത് നിരവധി പ്രക്ഷോഭങ്ങൾ പല സ്ഥലത്തും നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കൂടെ ലയിക്കാൻ താൽപര്യമുള്ള ആളുകൾ ജുനഗഡിൽ സമരം നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. 1947 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് മാസം 15-ാം തിയ്യതി ഒന്നാം സ്വതന്ത്ര ദിനം ആഘോഷിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. പക്ഷെ നവാബ് ഒരു പ്രത്യേക ആജ്ഞ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുകയാണ്.
ജനങ്ങൾ ആരും പുറത്ത് ഇറങ്ങാൻ പാടില്ല. ജനങ്ങൾ ആരും ആഘോഷങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ പാടില്ല. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കൂടെയാണ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അകത്തുള്ള ഈ രാജ്യം ലയിക്കേണ്ടത് എന്ന് ഉറച്ച് വിശ്വസിച്ചിരുന്നവർ എല്ലാവരും പുറത്ത് ഇറങ്ങുകയാണ്. ആ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ 15 വയസ്സുക്കാരനായ ധീരുഭായി അംബാനി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഇദ്ദേഹം പുറത്തിറങ്ങി ആരോ വിളിക്കുന്ന മുദ്രവാക്യങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റുപറയുകയല്ലാ ചെയ്തത്. പഠിക്കുന്ന സ്കൂൾ ഗ്രൗണ്ടിലേക്ക് പോവുകയാണ്. അവിടെ ചെന്ന് കുട്ടികളെ കൂട്ടുന്നു. പുറത്തുന്നുള്ള ആളുകളെ കൂട്ടുന്നു. ദേശീയ പതാക ഉയർത്തുന്നു. ദേശഭക്തിഗാനങ്ങൾ ഉറക്കെ പാടുന്നു. അതു കൂടാതെ ഒരു തീപൊരി പ്രസംഗവും ഇദ്ദേഹം നടത്തുന്നു. പോലീസിന് ഇതു കണ്ട് വെറുത്തെ ഇരിക്കാൻ. കഴിയില്ല. നവാബ് പുന്നതാണ് അവിടെയുള്ള പോലീസ് കേൾക്കുന്നത്. ധീരുഭായ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യപെടുകയാണ്. 15 വയസ്സുള്ള കുട്ടിയെ പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് മറ്റു ആളുകളുടെ പേരിൽ കേസ് എടുക്കുകയാണ്. ആ കുട്ടിയെ വെറുതെ വിടുകയാണ്.
എന്നാൽ പിന്നെയും പ്രഷോഭങ്ങൾ നടക്കുകയാണ്. അദ്ദേഹം സ്കൂൾ ബാഗിൽ ലഘു ലേഖനങ്ങൾ ഒളിപിച്ചു വെയ്ക്കുകയാണ്. ഇന്ത്യയെ സപോട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കൂടെ ലയിക്കണമെന്ന് പറയുന്ന സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യ പ്രഖ്യാപനം നടത്തുന്ന പല ലഘുലേഖകളും ഒളിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇത് കുട്ടികൾക്കും വലിയവർക്കും വിതരണം ചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്തായാലും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യസമരത്തിൻ്റെ ഒരു ചെറിയ പാർട്ട് മാത്രമായിരുന്നു അത്. തന്നാൽ ആവുന്നത് ചെയ്യുക എന്ന നിലയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഇത് ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സമ്മർദ്ദം ശക്തമാവുകയാണ്. നവാബിന് അങ്ങനെ ഇന്ത്യ വിട്ടുപോവുകയാണ്. അദ്ദേഹം പാക്കിസ്ഥാനിലേക്ക് പലായനം ചെയ്യുകയാണ്. അങ്ങനെ ജുനഗഡിലെ ആളുകളുടെ പ്രഷോഭം കൊണ്ട് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഉരുക്ക് മനുഷ്യനായ സർദാർ വല്ലഭായ് പട്ടേലിൻ്റെ പ്രവർത്തനം കൊണ്ടും 1947 ന് നവംബർ മാസം 12-ാം തിയ്യതി ജുനഗഡ് ഇന്ത്യൻ യൂണിയനിൽ ലയിക്കുകയാണ്. ധീരുഭായ് അംബാനി കുറച്ച് ഉത്തരവാദിത്ത്വമുള്ളവനായി മാറുകയാണ്. ഇങ്ങനെ ഒക്കെ ആണെങ്കിലും കണക്ക് ഒഴിച്ച് ബാക്കി എല്ലാ വിഷയങ്ങളിലും മികച്ച മാർക്കുണ്ട്.

നന്നായി ചിന്തിച്ച് നന്നായി പഠിച്ച് നന്നായി അറിവ് നേടി മാത്രമാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ബിസ്നസ്സിൽ ഇൻവെസ്റ്റ്മെൻ്റ് നടത്തുന്നത്. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ 100 ൽ 98 എണ്ണവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ലാഭം മാത്രമാണ്. നല്ലൊരു ബിസിനസ് മാൻ ആകണമെന്ന ചിന്ത മനസ്സിൽ ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ അതാത് സമയങ്ങളിൽ വേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങൾ കൃത്യമായി പഠിക്കാനും അതിൽ ഉന്നത പഠനങ്ങളും ഡിഗ്രികളും കരസ്ഥമാക്കാനും അതാത് സമയങ്ങളിൽ ഇദ്ദേഹം ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. 1954 ൽ കോകില ബെൻ എന്ന സ്ത്രീയെ അദ്ദേഹം ഗുജാറത്തിൽ എത്തി വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുകയാണ്. 1966 ആയപ്പോൾ റിലയൻസ് കമേർഷ്യൻ കോർപറേഷൻ എന്നൊരു ഓഫീസ് തുടങ്ങുകയാണ്. ഇത് തുടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ എന്തൊക്കെ ഈ ഓഫീസിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്ന് തുടക്കത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. ഒരു ഫോൺ ഇല്ലാതെ എങ്ങനെയാണ് ഈ ഓഫീസ് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുക. തൊട്ട് അടുത്ത് മറ്റൊരു ഓഫീസ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
ആ ഓഫീസിൽ ഒരു ഡോക്ടർ ആണ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. ആ ഡോക്ടറുടെ കൈയ്യിൽ ഫോൺ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ആ ഫോൺ ഇദ്ദേഹം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് തുടങ്ങി. ഒരോ കോളിനും ഒരു ചെറിയ തുക ഈ ഡോക്ടർക്ക് കൊടുക്കും. ഡോക്ടർ സന്തോഷവാനാകുന്നു. ഇദ്ദേഹവും സന്തോഷവാനാകുന്നു. ചെറിയ രീതിയിൽ ബിസിനസ്സ് നടക്കുകയാണ്. ഇദ്ദേഹം ഈ ബിസിനസ്സ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ബോംബെയിലെ ഒരവസ്ഥ എന്ന് പറയുന്നത്. വളരെ പരിതാപകരമായിരുന്നു. അവിടെയുള്ള ബിസിനസ്സുകാരെല്ലാം തട്ടിപ്പിൽ വളരെ പ്രശ്സ്തർ ആയിരുന്നു. ഗുണനിലവാരമില്ലാത്ത സാധനങ്ങൾ കുറഞ്ഞ അളവിൽ കൊടുക്കുക എന്നായിരുന്നു അവരുടെ ഒരു രീതി. പക്ഷെ ധീരുഭായ് അംബാനി ബിസിനസ്സ് നടത്താൻ ഇറങ്ങിയ സമയത്തു തന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം തിരുമാനിച്ചത് ഗുണനിലവാരത്തിൽ യാതൊരു കോംപ്രമൈസുമില്ല. ഗുണനിലവാരമുള്ള സാധനങ്ങൾ മാത്രമേ ഞാൻ ആളുകൾക്ക് കൊടുക്കുള്ളൂ. ഈ സാധനം കൊടുക്കുന്ന സമയത് അത് കിട്ടി മേടിച്ച് അതിന് ഗുണനിലവാരമില്ല എന്ന് തോന്നിയാൽ കമ്പിനിക്ക് യാതൊരു പണവും തിരിച്ച് നൽകേണ്ടതില്ല.
ഈയൊരു ഓഫർ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ കൊടുക്കുന്ന കോഡിറ്റി പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ കൊടുക്കുന്ന സാധനങ്ങൾ എന്തെക്കെയാണെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ പഴയ കോൺടാക്ടുകൾ യൂസ് ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ ഓഫീസ് ഏതാനും മാസങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ട് ഓഡറുകൾ ഒഴികി എത്തുകയാണ്. ധാരാളം ഓഡറുകൾ ലഭിക്കുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം ഇതെല്ലാം കയറ്റുമതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലേക്ക് പോലുമുള്ള കയുമതികൾ ഏതാനം മാസങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ട് ഇദ്ദേഹം സാധ്യമാക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. കുഴപ്പമില്ലാത്ത രീതിയിൽ വരുമാനവും കൂടി കൂടി വരുകയാണ്. ഈ സമയത്ത് വളരെ വിചിത്രമായിട്ടുള്ള ഒരു ഓഫർ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ലഭിക്കുകയാണ്. ഗൾഫിലെ ഒരു ഷെയ്ക്കിൻ്റെ ഒരു പൂന്തോട്ടം റോസാപൂക്കളുടെ ഒരു പൂന്തോട്ടമാണ്. ആ പൂന്തോട്ടം കൂടുതൽ നന്നാക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയിട്ട് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ചാണകം കാലർന്ന മണ്ണ് വേണം. ഈ മണ്ണിനുള്ള ഓഡറാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ലഭിച്ചത്. ഇദ്ദേഹം മറ്റു കയറ്റുമതിക്കാരുമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ എല്ലാവരും പറഞ്ഞു. അത് നടക്കുന്ന കാര്യമല്ല. ചാണകം കലർന്ന മണ്ണൊക്കെ പാക് ചെയ്ത് അയക്കുമ്പോഴേക്കും നമ്മുക്ക് വേണ്ടതൊക്കെ കിട്ടാൻ സാധ്യത ഇല്ല. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഇത് കണ്ടെത്താൻ വളരെ പ്രയാസമാണ്.
